Invasive Weed Removal for Property Sector
Our specialist services will ensure invasive plant removal or control. Carried out by qualified experienced professionals.
Looking to resolve your invasive weed problems effectively and efficiently? Our adaptive Invasive Weed Management (IWM) approach is better for the environment and better for you.
To ignore invasive weeds on land that you’ve invested in for development, or to treat them incorrectly, can prove costly in the long term. This is why we work with construction and commercial businesses to provide the best remediation solution based on the proposals for the site. Being fully compliant with legislation and codes of practice we ensure that your land can be remediated for its designated purpose. We keep construction moving.
If you own land that is used for livestock, horses or goats you may be aware that certain weeds such as Hemlock and Goat’s rue can be extremely harmful and in some cases fatal. We work with landowners to provide a solution that resolves the problem whilst protecting animals and their habitat as well as the natural environment.
The discovery of ground contaminated with asbestos, petroleum hydrocarbons or heavy metals can be a huge headache for developers and land investors. We can undertake the soil sampling and provide the test results for soil contaminants such and if positively identified we can excavate the contaminated area and safely remove it for you.
Our treatment and removal services are always carried out with the general health & safety of people living, working or visiting the environment. You can rest assured that our operatives receive regular internal and external training to ensure they adhere to legislative guidelines, and common sense best practice.
There is a substantial amount of legislation concerned with the use of herbicides. Examples include the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) 1988 and the Code of Practice for Using Plant Protection Products 2006. The control of herbicide regulations can be found within the Food and Environment Protection Act (FEPA) 1985.
It is also a requirement that any intention to apply herbicide within 5-10 metres of a watercourse must not be carried out until written confirmation has been received from the Environment Agency. We undertake and obtain E.A. licenses to apply herbicide on or near water where required. The application of any herbicides should be carried out in accordance to a BASIS guarantee and by persons with a recognised National Proficiency Test Council (NPTC) Certificate of Competence. This ensures the right herbicides are used and applied correctly.
All our staff have the appropriate training and certification and conform to current legislation.
