Japanese Knotweed Ltd (JKL) and Environment Controls (Part of JKL) provide specialist control services for commercial businesses. When maintaining sites, considering a site purchase, or planning for development a professional survey is always recommended. These identify any potential issues such as Japanese knotweed or Invasive Weeds, and plan for the cost of remediating ground contaminated with asbestos, hydrocarbons or heavy metals.
Typically, we will provide clients a free survey service however there are circumstances as defined below where fees for surveys will apply:
- If we carry out a survey for Japanese knotweed and no knotweed is found on the property or within 3m of the property boundary a charge of £225 plus VAT will apply
- If we carry out a survey for other invasive weeds and no invasive weeds are found on the property a charge of £225 plus VAT will apply.
- If the survey site is pre-purchase or pre-planning development land, a survey, report with recommendations and remedial works quote will cost £750 plus VAT. If a remedial works Method Statement is required for satisfying planning, please enquire for a price.
- If the area to be surveyed is greater than 1 acre, we reserve the right to apply a charge to carry out the survey.
- If the survey is to be carried out in Scotland, on the Isle of Man, or Isle of Wight charges may apply, please enquire for a price.
