our services

Environment Controls provides a diverse range of cost effective solutions for the control of invasive species and other environmental issues such as invasive water weeds and amenity weed management for local authorities. We also provide excavation services for removal of Asbestos and other contamination in soils.

Control methods include a range of treatments such as herbicide application or manual, mechanical (excavation) or biological methods. We focus on Integrated Weed Management (IWM) to ensure you receive the most effective and sustainable solutions for weed control or contamination problems.

Winter is often the best time to have maintenance works carried out such as replacement of stock fencing, vegetation clearance or ditch clearance. We provide these winter services to help you get ahead for the spring.

free identification

There are many plants which are known to be invasive. These include Invasive Native and Non-Native Species. We identify and professionally control or remove these species, helping local authorities to maintain healthy living spaces, construction companies to keep projects moving as well as homeowners and landowners to keep their property weed free.

Quick and easy to use – our online ID tool.

If you suspect you have an invasive plant problem you can use our free identification service. Upload some photos of the suspect plant and we’ll accurately identify it for you.

IDENTIFICATION TOOL

site survey

A site survey is a visual walk-over of the land or property that provides us (and you) with a full report of the infestation including the size of infested areas and images of locations. This will enable us to put together our recommendations for treatment or removal options along with a quote for the works.

Often our surveyors will identify more invasive plants than originally suspected, which we will be included in the report.

If you would prefer just to have a quick quote we can assess the information you provide and estimate the cost to treat or remove the issue. Ask us for a ‘Budget Quote’ when requesting a survey.

contaminated ground removal

We can remove and dispose of ground contaminated with non-licensable asbestos, heavy metals or hydrocarbons. Often found on brownfield sites planned for development, these harmful materials need to be removed before development can begin. If found on site the project will be put on immediate hold. We can resolve that.

Our services include soil sampling and analysis to find out the type and extent of contaminants in the soils. We will then plan the best method of extraction which may be hand-picking of larger Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) and then excavation to remove all fragments or particles. Soils will be removed from site and disposed of to a licensed landfill site. We hold all industry standard accreditations to carry out this work.
