ALL-IN-ONE INVASIVE PLANTS & ASBESTOS IN SOILS REMOVAL
One contractor – one solution.
We know that for UK construction and housebuilders dealing with invasive plants, especially listed species such as Japanese knotweed can be a headache. Add to that finding ground contamination (such as Asbestos) and we feel your pain! Project managers are faced with annoying additional time to resource separate contractors, pour over multiple quotes and schedule in works around other parts of the contract. And that’s typically a huge set-back on your projects.
In this article you’ll discover the answer is our Multi-contaminant Ground Removal Service.
Our surveyors are trained to spot invasive plants AND asbestos in soils on all surveys, and because we’re environmentally compliant and licensed to deal with both types of waste, we can get rid of both at the same time all on one contract. This streamlining of project and contractor resources is simply a more efficient way to work.
Here’s what VMS Ltd had to say: “JKL was tasked to remove two areas of Japanese knotweed at two separate sites. The sites where quite complex due to buried services so Vacuum excavation was recommended to be used by JKL. Once the works started JKL worked extremely close with us and kept regular contact with our site team and office so we all had a picture of what was happening on site so we were able to closely watch our program of works. Needless to say, JKL delivered the works safely and ahead of original program I feel this is down to their organisational skills and problem solving.”
Plant removal & Asbestos in soils removal
On this contract we were expecting to deal with invasive plants (including Japanese knotweed) but as the project progressed it uncovered more than was originally expected. The discovery of asbestos in soils, made ground, manholes and underground pipes, made this project more more challenging.
