Welcome to Our Latest Amenity Team Members!
Weโre excited to introduce some fantastic new members of our Amenity and Operations teams here at Environment Controls. As our services have expanded into the amenity sector so our client list has increased, and we’ve invested in growing the team to fulfil new contracts won this year as well as on-going multi-year contracts won in previous years.
The team work on large amenity contracts, spraying hard surfaces and highways from our new quadbikes and hand-held kit that have been specifically designed in-house to reduce herbicide and water usage by over 60%.

Councils benefit not just from a more sustainable solution to weed management but from the team’s expertise in targeting visibly growing weeds, courteous nature when dealing with the public, and dedication to getting the job done on time.
Currently each team amenity technician covers on average 35KM per day, for 9ย contracts covering Southampton, Basingstoke, Blackburn, Erewash, Halton, Kent, Nottingham, Plymouth and Leicestershire.
Meet the new members:
We have 7 new members who joined the amenity team in 2025 and are all newly qualified in herbicide treatment.

๐ทโโ๏ธ Michelle Savage โ Amenity Technician
Michelle joined the Amenity Team in 2025 and is newly qualified in herbicide treatment. The role attracted Michelle because of the 3 months off during the winter period, which allows her to travel a lot more, as this is a passion. Michelle says she gets to meet some lovely people who are always curious about what we are doing, its also nice never being in once place for long and feeling satisfied when an area of spraying has finished.

๐ทโโ๏ธ Lucy McDonnell – Amenity Technician

๐ทโโ๏ธ Charlie Long – Amenity Technician

๐ทโโ๏ธ Luke Webb – Amenity Technician

๐ทโโ๏ธ John Short – Amenity Technician
Additionally we have Matthew and Jonathan who joined the Amenity Team in 2025:
๐ทโโ๏ธ Matthew Taylor โ Amenity Technician
Matthew brings prior experience in invasive weed control and has a solid background in herbicide treatments for hard surfaces and highways. Itโs great to have someone with his practical know-how on the team!
๐ Jonathan Waters โ Operations Administrator (Seasonal)
Jonathan joins our Operations team to support both on-site work with the Amenity Team and admin tasks across the wider operations unit. His versatile role will help keep things running smoothly during the busy season.
